Appointments
Due to the unprecedented demand for our GP appointments we will no longer be accepting face to face bookings at our reception desk unless requested by a GP.
All appointment requests must be made by telephone between 8am and 11am, your request will be triaged by a Doctor or an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and dealt with appropriately.
EXTENDED ACCESS
We offer additional appointments at 18.30 and 18.40 with the doctors between Monday and Thursday
We offer additional appointments at 07.40 and 07.50 with the nurses.
HOW TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR
All requests for an appointment on the day will be triaged by our clinical team and dealt with accordingly - you will be asked a few questions by our receptionists in order that you may be directed to the correct clinician.
The phone lines are open from 8.00am and we have extra staff manning the phone lines during this busy period. If you wish to discuss any other matters please telephone with queries after 12 noon.
HOW TO SEE YOUR NURSE PRACTITIONER
At both medical centres you may be offered an appointment with our advanced nurse practitioner.
The nurse practitioner will be responsible for taking history, examination, diagnosis and treatment for minor illnesses. She is also able to prescribe. She will of course refer/discuss with a doctor when appropriate.
HOW TO SEE YOUR NURSE/PHLEBOTOMIST AND HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT
All appointments for our nursing staff must be booked in advance.
Our Phlebotomists hold regular clinics for blood letting. Our Healthcare Assistants see all new patients for advice re: smoking, weight checks, blood pressure checks, ECG's.
