How to order your repeats.

Many medical conditions are stable over long periods, and so your doctor may authorise repeat prescriptions between checks on your progress.

All the prescribing information is stored digitally, and your prescription counterfoil (the sheet provided to you by your pharmacist) shows the long-term medicines you take.

When requesting a repeat prescription you should return your counterfoil to the surgery indicating which items you require. Only request items that are necessary - don’t hoard medicines.

You should never wait until you are almost out of tablets, as the doctor will sometimes want to see you before giving you the prescription.

Requests for repeat prescriptions require a minimum of 3 working days to complete. If you have mislaid the counterfoil you must request the repeat medication in writing giving your name, address and the medication required.

Requests for repeat prescriptions cannot normally be accepted over the telephone as this may lead to mistakes and block emergency calls. The elderly and infirm patients may telephone for their prescriptions.

Please allow 72 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. If you have any problems, please telephone the surgery.

You can also order your prescriptions on-line at the links below.

If you have an account with Patient Access, you can log into your account to order your prescription online.

Or, if you don’t have a Patient Access account, you can use our online consulting platform, AccuRX, to request your repeat prescription.
