Covid-19 Guidance.

Keep up-to-date with the latest information on coronavirus and how to get your vaccination.

Get your dose of the COVID-19 vaccination.

  • To be eligible for a Spring Booster, you must be either aged 75 or over, or have one of the following conditions:

    • a blood cancer (such as leukaemia or lymphoma)

    • a weakened immune system due to a treatment (such as steroid medicine, biological therapy, chemotherapy or radiotherapy)

    • an organ or bone marrow transplant

    • a condition that means you have a very high risk of getting infections (see Green Book guidance on this page)

    • a condition or treatment your specialist advises makes you eligible for an additional primary dose

If you are aged under 75, you must bring evidence of your condition to receive a booster. This can be either a letter from your consultant or GP, or a text message from your GP practice.

The NHS booking system allows patients to self-declare eligibility on booking, which may mean you are able to book an appointment for a Spring Booster even if you’re not in one of these categories.

However, you must be in one of the above cohorts to receive a Spring Booster - so please don’t book if you aren’t eligible, as we will not be able to offer you a vaccine on the day.

Your Vaccination Status.

From 17 May 2021, people in England who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can demonstrate their vaccination status for international travel. A full course is currently two doses of any approved vaccine. Vaccine status will be available from:

It may take more than a week for your identity to be checked and verified so you can use this service.

If you cannot access the online services, and you have had at least 2 vaccines, you can request a paper letter from the NHS by calling 119. Only call 119 if you are due to travel abroad in the near future and have had your second dose more than 5 working days ago. It may take 7 working days for the letter to arrive.

This practice is not able to provide you with a letter that shows your COVID-19 vaccination status or recovery from COVID-19.

When you're planning your travel, check the latest information on demonstrating your COVID-19 status when travelling abroad on the gov.uk website. Make sure there is time to get proof of your vaccination status before you leave.
