Severn Valley Medical Practice will not be providing Flu or Autumn COVID-19 vaccinations during the 2026 vaccination programme.
Following careful consideration, the practice has taken the decision not to participate in this year's Flu and Autumn COVID-19 vaccination programme.
Eligible patients can continue to access vaccinations through participating local pharmacies and other NHS vaccination providers.
How do I book?
Eligible patients can:
Book through the NHS National Booking Service
Contact a participating local pharmacy
Call 119 for booking support and advice
Why is the practice not offering vaccinations?
The NHS has increasingly moved the delivery of seasonal Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations into community pharmacy settings and other vaccination providers. This approach aims to increase patient access whilst allowing GP practices to focus on delivering core clinical services and routine patient care.
Housebound Patients
Crest Pharmacy will be managing all home‑visit vaccinations for housebound patients this season. This means the practice will not be delivering these vaccinations directly.
What you need to know
Crest Pharmacy Worcester will contact you directly to arrange your vaccination appointment. They will attempt three times to do this.
They will attempt to visit a maximum of two home visits only, so please ensure you are available when they get in touch.
The practice does not have access to Crest Pharmacy’s scheduling system, so we are unable to provide timings or appointment dates.
If you have concerns about accessibility or your ability to attend the appointment when offered, please discuss this with Crest Pharmacy when they contact you.
Complaints
If you wish to raise concerns regarding local vaccination commissioning arrangements, please contact the ICB Complaints Team, as decisions regarding the commissioning and delivery of vaccination services are made at system level.
Why the change?
Providing the vaccination programme requires significant staffing, resources, and operational support, and at this time we must prioritise our core clinical services to ensure safe and timely care for all patients.
Community pharmacies are well‑placed to deliver the booster programme and have been doing so for a number of years , offering:
More appointment availability
Extended hours and weekend access
Faster rollout across local areas
Need support?
If you have questions about your eligibility or need help accessing a pharmacy, please contact our reception team. While we cannot administer the booster, we are here to support you in getting the care you need.
